OCS/WWF Workshop Proceedings now available

17/03/2009

The Proceedings of the OCS Workshop hosted by WWF – Australia at the Australian Museum, on 22 September 2008 is now available.

The theme of the workshop was ‘Priority areas concerning chondrichthyan fishes sustainability; in light of the recent taxonomic changes to the Australasian chondrichthyan fauna’. Australia has an increasingly rich and diverse chondrichthyan fauna, and the recent taxonomic findings from the CSIRO have produced large increases in known biodiversity (some 100 new species formally recently described).
